This Refund & Cancellation Policy is issued by Jaikalki Technology Private Limited (CIN U62091MH2025PTC438336), operator of the Nakshatralogy platform, and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. It explains when and how you can obtain a refund or cancel across wallet, consultations, paid reports, subscriptions, international in-app purchases, and the Developer API.
What is refundable
| Item | Refundable? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Unused wallet credit you paid for | Yes | Refundable to your original payment source on account closure or written request, if there is no dispute or fraud flag. Bonus/promotional credit is non-refundable and non-cashable. |
| Failed / double payment | Yes | Money debited but not credited to wallet, or charged twice — fully refunded. |
| Consultation — technical failure | Yes | Call/chat dropped due to a platform/network fault, or astrologer no-show — the affected minutes are refunded to wallet. |
| Consultation — completed & satisfactory | No | Per-minute time already delivered is not refundable simply due to dissatisfaction with predictions. |
| Paid report / forecast — not delivered | Yes | If generation failed and no report was produced, we refund or regenerate. |
| Paid report / forecast — delivered | Case-by-case | Digital goods consumed on delivery; goodwill refunds only for a genuine defect, raised within 48 hours. |
| Subscription (Plus) — within 48h, unused | Conditional | Refundable if no premium benefit/allowance has been used in the current period. |
| Subscription — after use / renewal | No | Cancel anytime to stop future renewals; the paid period runs to its end. |
| Developer API subscription | Conditional | Metered usage already consumed is non-refundable; unused wallet balance is refundable. |
Wallet refunds
The Nakshatralogy Wallet is prepaid platform credit usable only within Nakshatralogy — it is not a bank deposit, e-money, or a prepaid payment instrument (see Terms A2A).
- Refunds for failed, rejected, returned, or cancelled transactions are credited back to your Wallet promptly.
- Where a refund cannot be credited to your Wallet (for example, on account closure), it is credited to the original payment source — bank account, UPI, or card — used for the top-up.
- Wallet credit cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to another user. Unused credit that you actually paid for can be refunded to your original source on request; bonus or promotional credit cannot.
- No interest is payable on Wallet balances.
GST on refunds
Where a GST-inclusive payment is refunded (in full or in part), the Company issues a credit note under Section 34 of the CGST Act, 2017, adjusting the GST already reported on that transaction. You do not need to separately claim a GST refund from the tax department for Platform-billed transactions — the adjustment happens through our GST returns and is reflected in your invoice history in-app.
Consultation refunds
- Astrologer no-show or technical drop: if a session cannot start or is interrupted by a platform/network fault, the charged minutes for the failed portion are auto-credited or refunded on review.
- Quality concerns: if an astrologer behaved unprofessionally (per our Terms), raise it within 48 hours; we may refund part or all of the session at our discretion and act against the astrologer.
- Dissatisfaction with predictions alone is not, by itself, grounds for a refund, since astrology is guidance and not a guaranteed outcome.
International purchases (App Store / Google Play)
For international users, paid items are sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play. These are governed by the store's own published refund windows and process, which are independent of — and may differ from — the Company's 48-hour reporting window and 5–7 business-day decision timeline described below (those apply only to transactions billed directly by the Platform, e.g. via Razorpay for Indian users). Refund requests for store purchases must typically be made to Apple or Google directly. Where a purchase grants a Platform entitlement that failed to deliver, contact us and we will help reconcile it.
How to request a refund
Non-refundable items
- Consultation minutes already delivered satisfactorily;
- Reports/forecasts already generated and delivered (absent a genuine defect);
- Subscription periods where benefits or the report allowance have been used;
- Developer API usage already metered and served;
- Amounts flagged for fraud, abuse, or chargeback misuse.
For astrologers
When a user is refunded for an eligible failed or disputed session, the corresponding earning may be reversed or withheld from your ledger. Verified quality complaints can affect payouts and standing per the astrologer terms.
